Leward side Derive (dereeve)

The second section of Rex's sectional 'round the island' derive.  We try and approach these ventures as 'modern day flauneurs, hiker/experiencers seeking experience and understanding and revelation through external interventions and moments of serendipity. We attempt to understand and experience the 'stickiness and bury nature of time' that one encounters in walks across the land.  It is walking as performance art, blending the meaning of art with the meaning of life-experience.

These are time-on-feet workouts to get ourselves in shape for the full 'round the island' in late April.  Rex draws on the experience to create a short piece of performance art which he stages at school.
